A Xinjiang-style döner kebab in Beijing, China. Basically a Turkish döner kebab (土耳其烤肉) covered in spices from Xinjiang Cuisine (新疆菜), including cumin and chilies.

This place specifically sold “土耳其烤肉夹馍” or “Turkish ròu jiā mó”. The name ròu jiā mó (肉夾饃) refers to meat sandwiches served on a bun, sometimes affectionately called “Chinese Hamburgers”. Probably the most well known ròu jiā mó are from Shaanxi (陕西), served on a specific flakey “Old Tongguan” (#老潼关) bun. This “Turkish” version was just served on a folded steambun.
